The Book Thief

This was an amazing read in my opinion. It is narrated by "Death" and at times you have to remind yourself of this fact. The story is centered around a young German girl, Liesel, who is forced to live with a foster family during the war. Her younger brother has died on the way, so her mother leaves her all alone with her new parents. The bond she forms with her new father is an enviable one.
